'Largest 5G network in an industrial environment' launched by ArcelorMittal
ArcelorMittal France has announced the operational launch of 5G Steel, the 'largest 4G/5G network in the industrial environment', with Orange Business Services and Ericsson.
According to ArcelorMittal, the industrial use of 5G Steel allows data collection, entry and sharing operations to be done more quickly and intuitively on the hot strip rolling mill with the help of tablets.
Further to this, ArcelorMittal's recycled steel yard management is now facilitated by the networks' coverage and high throughput, with data being collected then automatically transmitted by operators in charge of quality control via 5G Steel.
