Verallia chooses EDP for renewable energy supply

Verallia has chosen EDP to construct five photovoltaic (PV) systems for the supply of renewable electricity at five of its Italian plants.

EDP is one of the world leaders in the production of energy from renewable sources.

It will construct five PV systems for each of Verallia’s plants in Gazzo Veronese (Verona), Dego (Savona), Carcare (Savona), Villa Poma (Mantua) and Lonigo (Vicenza).

The construction of the five plants will be completed by 2023 with the first, Gazzo Veronese, going into production at the beginning of the year.

Overall, the project will cover a total area of ​​approximately 142,000 m2 and will involve the installation of over 27,000 panels for 15 MWp of total installed power.
