David Wheeley joined EntyrPty Ltd as CEO in early 2022 to lead the company’s transition from R&D to full commercialisation. Drawing from over 20 years of experience as a senior executive in the industrial manufacturing and waste management industries, David is passionate about using waste as an opportunity to create a genuine and sustainable circular economy benefitting the environment, community, and the economy.As a pioneering Australian company, Entyr Ltd is leading the world in solving the hazardous end-of-life tyre problem.Applying a unique and internationally patented thermal desorption process, Entyr converts end-of-life tyres into high-value products: tyre-derived hydrocarbon,Recovered Carbon Black and steel.Over the past two years, Entyr’s processing has been highly sought after by a range of companies seeking ethical tyre and rubber disposal and by the manufacturing industry seeking tyre-derived products to replace virgin resources and improve the quality of manufactured commodities such as asphalt. Entyr’s products have played a key role in the decarbonisation of new infrastructure in in South East Queensland.By the end of 2023, Entyr processed over 3 million tyres and is planning to expand operations nationally and internationally providing a sustainable solution to one of the world's biggest hazardous waste issues.
